Common Typos

Explanation

PerfectIt checks for common typographical issues. It looks for words that are correctly spelled but the context may indicate that another word was intended.

Example

The phrase ‘love stories’ is occasionally mistyped as ‘love stores’. Since ‘love stores’ is a phrase in which all of the words are spelled correctly, most spell checkers will not find this mistake. The same thing happens with the word ‘manage’ and the word ‘mange’. There are several other possible issues like this in English, some of which can cause significant embarrassment. Where PerfectIt finds words like these, an alternative is suggested.

Customizing the Check image0

You can add exceptions that PerfectIt should never check in the Never Find tab of the style sheet editor or you can customize the check as you work.
